Services for Adults & Families Children First (217-352-0099): The Children First program provides divorcing parents the opportunity to learn about and discuss the impact divorce has on children. With the assistance of videotapes and moderated group discussions, parents learn ways to minimize the negative impact that divorce has on children. Particular focus is on making parents aware of the ways children may express their reactions to the changing family structure. Call to register for evening or Saturday classes.
Eligibility: Divorcing parents Counseling (217-352-0099): The assistance of professional therapists helps individuals, couples, families and children resolve conflicts arising from personal issues and relationships, such as:

Eligibility: No restrictions Family Caregiver Support and Grandparents Raising Grandchildren (217-352-5100): Information and help accessing services, support, advocacy and training for people providing care or support for senior family members and for seniors raising young relatives.
Eligibility: Those caring for senior family members 60 or older (or of any age with Alzheimer's disease or other dementia) and those 55 or older raising relatives age 18 or under. First Call for Help (217-352-6300): An information and referral service that provides callers with assistance in locating community resources and services throughout Champaign County. The HelpBook, an annual directory of Champaign County community services, is available in print and online at helpbook.famservcc.org.
Eligibility: No restrictions HomeCare (217-352-5100): Non-medical, in-home assistance with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing), meal preparation, shopping, errands, laundry, and housework. All HomeCare Assistants are pre-screened, trained, certified, background-checked, and closely supervised by professional staff. Personal Planner provides in-home evaluation and recommendations.
Eligibility: Age 60 or older for subsidized service, no restrictions for private pay service Meals on Wheels (217-352-5100): Home-delivered, hot, noon meals Monday through Friday in Champaign, Urbana, and limited adjacent areas. For seniors or anyone who has difficulty with cooking due to illness, injury or disability. Sack suppers and special diet meals are available.
Eligibility: Seniors and others who have difficulty preparing a meal due to illness, injury or disability The Self-Help Center (217-352-0099): The Self- Help Center provides information on self-help and support groups in the Champaign-Urbana area and surrounding communities. Assistance in developing and organizing new groups as well as maintaining existing groups is available. The Support Group Directory is available in print and online at the Self-Help Center online.
